Gather everything in one album
Guests upload through the QR code during the party. You can add photos yourself through the same upload page, so the shots from friends and the ones you've collected end up side by side.
Choose who can open it
Albums start private, so only you and your co-host see the full set. Switch to public if anyone with the link may browse and download, or set a password if you want one more lock.
Send one link to everyone
Use the same link or QR code guests already scanned. Put it in your thank-you message, the family group chat or an email. One link is easier to find again than fifty forwarded photos.
Let guests download what they want
Once the album is open, guests can view it on any device, save single photos or download the whole album as a ZIP.
Keep the master copy
The album stays online for 6 months after the wedding. Download everything as one ZIP and keep it somewhere safe: that copy is yours for good.
Why email and chat don't work for this
Sending photos by email or WhatsApp gets out of hand quickly. Attachments have size limits, chats compress images, and you end up remembering who asked for which photo.
It also only goes one way. A guest who gets ten photos in a chat can't see the other two hundred, and can't add the ones they took.
Private by default, open when you're ready
A JoinAlbum album has three settings. Private, the default, lets guests upload but keeps the full album for you and your co-host. It's the right choice while you're still collecting, or if you'd rather choose what to share.
Public means anyone with the link or QR code can browse and download everything, which suits a relaxed party where the guest list is the audience anyway. Password-protected sits in between: the link on its own isn't enough, so a forwarded message doesn't open the album to strangers.
You can change the setting whenever you like, so collecting first and opening the album later is a perfectly good plan.
What to send, and when
The first message works best a day or two after the wedding, while people are still talking about it. Keep it short: a thank-you, the link and, if you set one, the password.
If more photos come in later, the same link keeps working, so there's nothing new to send. One reminder before the album closes is enough for anyone who wants their own copy.
